JOB SUMMARY
Build, Prep, and Dial In Off-Road Machines. S3 Power Sports is hiring an Off-Road Mechanical Technician to support custom builds, performance upgrades, race prep, and vehicle assembly for high-performance off-road machines. This role focuses on mechanical systems, diagnostics, accessory installation, and vehicle setup for race vehicles, mud builds, trail rigs, and custom projects that are built to be pushed hard. You will work directly with suspension components, driveline systems, steering, electrical accessories, and aftermarket performance parts while collaborating with fabricators, builders, and engineers to bring complete machines together. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install suspension, steering, driveline, and performance components
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Perform 12-volt wiring, lighting, winch, and accessory installations
- Prep vehicles for racing, trail riding, or customer delivery
- Assist with custom builds and specialized off-road projects
- Inspect, test, and fine-tune completed vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Work closely with fabrication, production, and engineering teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working on off-road vehicles including UTVs, SXSs, ATVs, or 4x4s
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability
- Comfortable working with 12V electrical systems and accessories
- Familiarity with aftermarket performance parts and custom builds
- Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced shop environment
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- ASE certifications or OEM certifications from Can-Am, Polaris, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Ford, Dodge, or similar manufacturers preferred
- Previous experience in off-road, powersports, automotive, or motorsports environments
- Light fabrication or welding experience is a plus
- Experience using diagnostic software or scan tools is a plus

S3 Power Sports is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to support suspension development, product engineering, and prototype design for high-performance off-road vehicles. This role focuses on CAD modeling, suspension geometry, mechanical problem-solving, and turning ideas into production-ready parts that survive real-world punishment. You will work directly with fabrication, production, and R&D teams to develop components for race vehicles, trail machines, and utility builds. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and engineer off-road suspension, chassis, and structural components
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and production drawings using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with fabrication, production, and R&D teams during development and prototyping
- Support product testing, fitment validation, and performance analysis
- Assist in developing manufacturing-ready designs for efficient production
- Evaluate suspension geometry, clearances, strength, and overall vehicle performance
- Troubleshoot design and fitment issues during prototyping and production
- Maintain organized engineering files, revisions, and technical documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB SUMMARY
S3 Power Sports is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Custom Fabricator / Builder / Assembler to join our team of builders, fabricators, and race techs. This is a full-time, hands-on position based in our Shreveport, LA facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, mechanical assembly, and off-road or motorsports prep. You’ll work directly on custom builds, prototype chassis, race vehicle prep, and high-end customer projects. If you’re ready to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment where quality matters and every build counts—this is your shot.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tube bending, notching, and welding for custom off-road chassis and components
- Build, assemble, and install custom parts including roll cages, bumpers, suspension, and sheet metal
- Prep and maintain race vehicles for events: teardown, inspection, fabrication, and final assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment including tube benders, presses, rollers, shrinkers/stretchers, etc.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues on off-road platforms
- Assist with product R&D, fixture building, and prototype fabrication
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all shop safety protocols
- Collaborate with fabricators, mechanics, and engineering staff to meet production deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced experience in metal fabrication, welding (MIG/TIG), and custom vehicle assembly
- Skilled in tube fitting, chassis design, and structural fabrication
- Hands-on mechanical ability and comfort working on complex builds
- Proficient in sheet metal techniques: bending, rolling, shrinking, and stretching
- Experience reading fabrication drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Familiarity with wiring systems, 12V accessories, and basic vehicle electronics
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop environment
- Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and ability to work independently
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous background in off-road fabrication, hot rods, rock crawlers, or race prep
- Experience with high-end custom builds or small-scale manufacturing
- Familiarity with UTV, SXS, ATV, or 4x4 platforms (Can-Am, Polaris, Jeep, etc.)
- Knowledge of suspension geometry and chassis reinforcement
