JOB SUMMARY

S3 Power Sports is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Custom Fabricator / Builder / Assembler to join our team of builders, fabricators, and race techs. This is a full-time, hands-on position based in our Shreveport, LA facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, mechanical assembly, and off-road or motorsports prep. You’ll work directly on custom builds, prototype chassis, race vehicle prep, and high-end customer projects. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform tube bending, notching, and welding for custom off-road chassis and components
• Build, assemble, and install custom parts including roll cages, bumpers, suspension, and sheet metal
• Prep and maintain race vehicles for events: teardown, inspection, fabrication, and final assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications
• Operate fabrication equipment including tube benders, presses, rollers, shrinkers/stretchers, etc.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues on off-road platforms
• Assist with product R&D, fixture building, and prototype fabrication
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all shop safety protocols
• Collaborate with fabricators, mechanics, and engineering staff to meet production deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced experience in metal fabrication, welding (MIG/TIG), and custom vehicle assembly
• Skilled in tube fitting, chassis design, and structural fabrication
• Hands-on mechanical ability and comfort working on complex builds
• Proficient in sheet metal techniques: bending, rolling, shrinking, and stretching
• Experience reading fabrication drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Familiarity with wiring systems, 12V accessories, and basic vehicle electronics
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop environment
• Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and ability to work independently

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous background in off-road fabrication, hot rods, rock crawlers, or race prep
• Experience with high-end custom builds or small-scale manufacturing
• Familiarity with UTV, SXS, ATV, or 4x4 platforms (Can-Am, Polaris, Jeep, etc.)
• Knowledge of suspension geometry and chassis reinforcement

• Must bring basic mechanic’s tools applicable to fabrication and assembly work

POSITION SUMMARY

S3 Power Sports is hiring a Welder / Fabricator to join our fast-paced production team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in welding, tube fabrication, and custom chassis work. Located at our manufacturing facility in Shreveport, LA, this role is hands-on and critical to building the rugged, off-road products that define our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabricate off-road vehicle parts and accessories with precision and consistency
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum components
• Fit, notch, and bend tube for chassis parts, cages, and suspension components
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and build specifications
• Assist in the design and layout of new products and prototypes
• Operate basic metalworking tools: saws, grinders, tubing benders, hydraulic presses, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with fellow team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Uphold safety standards and shop best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assemble, install, and repair high-performance parts on ATVs, UTVs, SXSs, and other off-road vehicles.
• Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure peak vehicle performance.
• Collaborate with the team to provide custom builds and modifications that meet our high standards of quality and safety.
• Assist with electrical work, including 12-volt wiring, lighting, and accessory installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
